First Two Weeks of 2018

We are using new verb conjugations. In this project, we read several examples from the book called "Qué animal te gustaría ser? in which the simple conditional tense is used. "Condicional simple" is used to express possibility in the future or a polite way to ask for something. It's the "would" + verb in English. Then they picked an animal or several animals, real or imaginary and they even made up their own animals using pieces of the names of different animals. They talked about why they would like to be said animal, and they made them with torn paper from magazines.

We are reviewing multiplication and division through games and through this problem.

The week's highlight was definitely the storytelling groups. We are practicing our storytelling pieces in mixed groups with student's of all grades. The students practices their story and how to use proper body language, aye contact, voice and creativeness in the event they get stuck or forget. Through drama games, they lose the stage fright and get used to taking in front of other students.

Spanish Grammar. This is how to conjugate regular verbs: Verbs in Spanish in their basic form end in ar, er, and ir. For regular verbs, whatever comes before those endings doesn't change. Thus we know that if the verb is "cantar", I can conjugate it in any tense, person, number, gender and form just keeping the root of the word and adding the ending which is the students have a list for, as well as a booklet for them to fill out and practice.
